Popeless

I had a layover in Vienna on my way home from Georgia, so I decided to take a full day and explore the city. It was another tough travel day. The flight from Georgia was at 4am, they barely let me on the plane (apparently a paper ticket does not guarantee you a seat on the plane), and it was pouring when I arrived in Vienna. I got my only outfit soaked making my way to the hotel and I was exhausted. I meant to take a quick power nap before spending my only day in the city sightseeing...but 5 hours later I realized I had overslept! I barely had enough time to hit a few museums before they closed and tried to cover as much ground as possible before it got dark. As I was walking around, I noticed there were lots of flyers everywhere with the Pope's picture, and when I was checking out one of the most impressive churches in Vienna, St. Stephen's Cathedral, it appeared like a crew was taking down a stage. I managed to put it all together and realized I had missed the Pope's presence by a few hours. DOH!
